When Mike Herrera co-founded CoolVu, he didn’t come from the window film world. And according to him, that outsider status gave him a valuable edge.

“There was this clear need,” he recalls. “Schools needed safer windows. Businesses were looking to cut energy costs. Homeowners wanted comfort without costly renovations. We built CoolVu to meet that need.”

While the company has big goals, aiming for 300 franchise locations by 2027, Herrera is clear that growth won’t come at the expense of quality. CoolVu is highly selective in choosing franchise partners and puts strong emphasis on training and ongoing support.
“We’re in this for the long haul,” he says. “It’s not just about selling franchises, it is about creating long-term value in every market we enter.”
