I want to start off by saying if I could give Collin and CoolVu a six star rating I would in a heartbeat. Collin was an absolute joy to work with, my family and I are new to the area and we have never had any windows tinted in the past. Collin could have persuaded us in any direction here but he did not do that, he gave us an honest review of the product and a detailed quote and let us decide. The installation was incredible we have french windows and he was able to complete all westward facing windows in our home in two days. (While putting up with our kids and dogs in the house). The product is great, we have noticed a huge difference in our home, the temperature upstairs now stays consistent around 74-75 degrees where before it was around 80.Collin/CoolVu in my opinion is what modern companies should strive to be.

Jon was very friendly and super flexible in scheduling consults and visits, and he and his team worked hard on our old Eichler with its huge odd-shaped windows and ancient wooden frames. When you deal with an installation service like this, you want confidence that any problems will be addressed quickly and by any means necessary to produce a good result. Jon did exactly that. He told us that several of our windows were the biggest and most difficult he'd worked on, but he reached out to colleagues in Coolvu to ensure we were entirely happy with the end result. Tanner was incredibly responsive when we called for a bid on our custom window film project. He did a great job at doing his work while we were still running business as usual and he kept a clean work area while he completed the job. Since our project needed a product that was a little thicker than usual window film, there were a few spots that didn't turn out initially but as soon as I mentioned it to Tanner, he acknowledged it, came up with a few different solutions, and returned within a few weeks while between jobs to make it better. It’s really a neat and informative demonstration. What a difference! Our new home is bright and sunny, which we love. Tanner did an awesome job at our house. We moved in to a new house and there were 6 windows on the West facing side of our house that had no blinds/shades of any kind. We have a 1940's home with metal single pane windows, and previously installed window film that was likely decades old -- scratched and unsightly, and probably provided very little solar or heat protection. The new High Definition film has a 99% UV block, along with significant heat reflection -- and it looks just beautiful. Even though our windows are over 80 years old, they almost look brand new! We recently used CoolVu of Minneapolis Northwest for a couple projects on our home windows. First, we had the windows around the front door frosted to give privacy and stop our dog from barking at everyone going by. Then, we had all of our other windows tinted to block the heat. We couldn't believe how fast we could truly tell a difference. It will be an added bonus that it will also protect our furniture and floors from sun fading. The installer picked up a corner of our rug and it sadly showed that our floors have already started to fade. This toned down the glare and greatly reduced the heat. The glass makes the retail floor look warm and inviting. You can still see through the windows from the outside which my client likes. I had CoolVu out to my home in Delafield and all i can say is WOW! From Bid to job completion it was a pleasure to deal with CoolVu. I was having heat issues because I have so many windows on my home. They helped me understand all the products and which ones would benefit me the most. I went with two different films for my home. First I went with a completely clear film that reduces insane amounts of heat, but allows me to keep my gorgeous views. The second film, which I put on almost the entirety of the house was a transitional film. Yes, just as you would think glasses/sunglasses, this film does that to the windows in your home. It's been a month and I wanted to see how well the film did on reducing my energy bill.... This past 30 days have been some very warm days.... yep, my energy bill was lower than the previous month! The windows on our home had a 3-M product installed by previous owners presumably to help with UV protection. For the last several years, the Southern facing windows started to develop bubbles and cloudiness and put off a terrible smell. I had such a wonderful experience with CoolVu. The owner Cliff came out within two days of my initial contact, to measure all of the windows in my home to draft a proper estimate.The measurement day, Cliff was assisted by his team of Bex and Josh. Josh provided and discussed with me the various options to meet my window protection goals, and I was able to find the perfect film to block the UV damage potentially entering my home. Bex worked with Cliff to expertly measure every single window pane that I wanted addressed. All in they measured 77 total window panes!That very same evening I received my proposal and was able to consider the various options presented to me. And after a few follow up calls with both Cliff and Josh I submitted my deposit and they ordered my desired product.The next day Bex was schedule to begin preparing the windows for treatment. This consisted of ensuring each window was cleaned thoroughly and in the case of the older windows properly scraped and cleared of old paint and caulking.A couple of days later the windows were all prepared and the window film was cut and being installed. The installation process took a couple of days through which Cliff clearly communicated when the team would be arriving and accommodated my requests to work around my schedule. Upon their competition I reviewed all of the windows and only found one spec that got caught under the film. They had enough reserve in the truck to replace it on that spot and did so with no questions.In summary, I cannot speak highly enough of the experience I received.
