From start to finish our experience with CoolVu was exceptional. We had a number of windows that we wanted to tint and after conducting online research we contacted CoolVu for an estimate. Chu, one of the owners, was very responsive and scheduled a time to visit us to gain an understanding of our needs and to describe and demonstrate the various CoolVu products. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. She also measured all the in-scope windows in order to develop a proposal that included various options. Once we agreed on the specific tint film that we wanted to use, the installation scheduling process was very efficient. Installation was done by the owners, Chu and Billy, as well as additional professional installers. The entire crew was courteous, experienced, efficient, and tidy with the owners being present for the entire install. We are very pleased with the final product and the high degree of professionalism demonstrated throughout the process. We are also comforted by the lifetime warranty of an American made product and the CoolVu organization that stands behind it. Coolvu treated my front glass front door and we are just loving it! We have an old house with a glass paneled front door that is pretty but lacked privacy. The treatment from coolvu allowed us to keep the original door, but increase privacy. They were excellent to work with and did a fantastic job with a great final product.
Great experience with CoolVu. Very professional, efficient and most of all effective! Our south facing vaulted ceiling room with 10 big windows used to get so warm in the summer w. e could not use it in the daytime. The reflective heat blocking film that was applied reduced the temperature by over 20 degrees! The Mirror finish restored our privacy too. Huge thanks to CoolVu!

Easiest solution ever for my summer heat problem! I got the transitional 55/35 window tint for my sliding glass door. In the summer the sun come through the window, affecting the algae growth in my fish tanks and heating my living room. This time is the perfect solution to allowing the view and minimizing the incoming light and heat. The cost is well worth the benefits!

CoolVu applied a heat film to nearly every window in the back of our house (10+), and wow, what a difference it made during the summer. Guests cannot tell that any tint/film was applied and I can't say that I notice either. CoolVu very easy to work with as well with good communication. They arrived on time for the scheduled date, were very professional, and two individuals had the work completed in the expected time frame, even though they encountered one problematic window.Another benefit - they were about 20% less expensive than another bid from a more known name in the Portland area. I definitely recommend CoolVu.

I was worried about my family security because I travel a lot for work. I was concerned that someone could just take a large tool and punch a hole in my front door or front porch window and walk right in as my family is left vulnerable. From a security website I subscribe to, I first heard that film is the new tech of windows. There are various film products that can update my glass without having to replace my whole window and frame. My current doors and windows are going on 30 years but were the best at the time. They still look good, they work well, and there's a lot of them. Maybe I'll replace them, but right now I have other priorities. I found Coolvu Glass and Surface Solutions that I found through the web search. I called and just wanted to see what I can afford. After a few minutes I realized that I could not only afford the door windows and picture front window but can easily afford all of the ground level units facing the street for now and can have them come back as my budget allows. My family was skeptical, but my now wife wants to know when the others on the backside are going to get done. As it's part of the total envelope plan and we can definitely feel the energy difference in the temperature of the house. I noticed there is less neighbor noise, and we just have more privacy. I plan on having more windows completed by them in the spring. They were on time, friendly, and cleaned up very good. They know what they're doing. Lucas is a glass/window geek, he likes what he does. After install, the windows look great, there's no dirt to worry about. They pointed to some branches, I trimmed. they installed. There's some natural bubble sealing process that naturally takes place with the materials but it's easy to monitor that Lucas described to me during installation. I know it's working and sealed shut. It's like canning with a pressure cooker. Eventually the bubbles rise to the top and become part of the airtight seal.Today my front dining room window has great privacy and protection. You can see out, but can't see in. Now I don't worry that someone will help themself to dinner. We have mirror reflection, but before, we were like a fishbowl. Anyone could see if we were sitting down for dinner or answering the door. Also, I had the insides done with additional protection. I had 7mm total rated for about 500 lbs per sq/in. That's a lot! It's not going to stop someone determined to get in or stop bullets, but now I know if someone is determined to cause harm, we have more time to get ready to defend ourselves, and they just can't just come right on in.Recap:1. Good people, very knowledgeable about the products and applications. Great service. American and local patriots, non-political.2. Good product for protection - I so want to test it out and smash my own window but will refrain.3. Good product for energy savings - This will save you money on your energy bill. The windows are just noticeably better. I don't have to hear my neighbor with his leaf blower.4. Good upgrades for the price - I don't want to say what they charged but very reasonable. It gave me many more additional years on the windows. I plan to sell the house with these upgrades as a positive selling point.5. I was able to pay with credit card.6. They scheduled with calendar application and were on time.7. I was able to measure my own windows, send pictures and received a quick quote. I was able to basically purchase the day. This way they spent time with me, and I got as many windows done as I can afford. We both won.8. I'm a construction manager and can replace my own windows. But why would I want to when I can upgrade with Coolvu.

I made contact with competitive businesses concerning residential window tinting. Most of them required a minimum purchase of $500 and would not visit....send photos instead. Also, there is a lifetime guarantee on the product/labor. Other companies only offer 10-15 years. There isn't a valid reason to look anywhere else. It made a difference! The morning sun blazes its rays through our primary bedroom and living room windows. In the afternoon, our office room and side garage windows take in the heat. The CoolVu team is outstanding. Gabriel provided our initial home consultation where he presented the different options in film we could consider. Purchased the transitional tint for my new home and there is definitely a difference with the glare. Great privacy from the outside. Of course, not 100% privacy ( let’s be realistic ). Comparing the homes with no tint, it’s a major difference. I’m sure this will help for the coming summers next year as far as our energy bill cost. Overall the service that was provided was great! Very friendly, and informative.
We had a porch enclosed and the central air just wasn’t cooling in the new addition. We had several HVAC people come out and said we needed to overhaul our system at a cost of over $10k. Our system was only two years old so we were just broken about what to do and throwing all of that money away. Enter CoolVu…we decided to try tint on the windows to see if it could cut the heat in the addition which was 82 degrees on a cool day. The day after installation; my family is remarkably “chilly” in the new addition. I kid you not. We are STUNNED!!! CoolVu has solved our problem, saved us a bundle in costs and sanity. We were very sad because it was too hot to enjoy our new area and now we’ve decorated it - yay!!! Highly recommended!! They showed up with a huge binder of different films to select from and spent time explaining all the options to us. We loved how honest, hard working, detailed, and kind they were. They installed film on 80% of the windows in our house and they all look fantastic. We had our west-facing windows tinted. Ralph came out to measure and later install the tint. He was very professional: courteous, prompt, and very competent. He answered all my questions, provided 3 quotes at my request and made an extra trip to my house to show me samples. The tint looks great. It's too soon to rate the product performance, though.

I wanted to wait to write this review. We have had our artificial turf for just over a year now. We love it. We were advised of possible reflection damage the reflection of light off of windows could cause. Our turf installed gave us some spare pieces to put down over the turf where the windows were and said we should know in A few days. And they were right. It literally melted the fake turf during a few 90 degree days in Summerville. We found CoolVu and Luke and he was fantastic. He installed this film over our windows that you really don’t notice and it reflects the light away from the ground. If you get turf, this is a must!!! I cannot stress it enough. I wish this was an included price in the turf cost and they subbed it out but it’s not the case. It’s not cheap but not overly expensive either and you need to protect the expensive investment of the turf. Please call Luke and let him help you!!

Great quality and swift service! I had ceramic tint installed on my living room sliding glass doors because that area of my house was a hit box from 2:00p - 6:00p everyday, which made cooking dinner almost unbearable. With this product on my sliding glass doors, i no longer have that issue. It’s noticeably much cooler! Highly recommend!

I have used them at too different homes for window tinting and I would use them again. While its too early to see any cost savings on my Duke Energy bills, there is a noticeable difference in the amount of heat coming in from outside.

I recently had invited coolVu of southern NH to come to our house and talk about options for blocking some of the direct sunlight coming in and heating up the dining room and living room space.Andrew arrived promptly at the time of our scheduled appointment. He was very knowledgeable, had a lot of different choices and helped me to decide the right degree of ceramic tint for our cathedral windows. And almost equally important was the reasoning behind his recommended solution. I opted to take his advice and I am not in the least bit disappointed.The CoolVu installer came to our house with all the equipment to do the installation. It was a seamless process, which was over in two or three hours. I am very pleased with the results. The heat from the suns rays has been significantly reduced, and the view out the windows is almost the same as it was before the ceramic tint was applied. They were very neat, did not make a mess, and left the place as clean as they found it.The ceramic tint made such a difference in the cathedral windows that just today I reached back out to Andrew and his dad Peter to tell them that I would like them to come out and discuss applying the ceramic tint to our front entrance, which has a very large top window and a large side window next to the door.I’m very particular about making sure I make the right choice whenever I purchase something. This was a smart choice for me and I am pleased to have found them.. Their price was reasonable, the service was professional and the results were great. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Bob.

I want to start off by saying if I could give Collin and CoolVu a six star rating I would in a heartbeat. Collin was an absolute joy to work with, my family and I are new to the area and we have never had any windows tinted in the past. Collin could have persuaded us in any direction here but he did not do that, he gave us an honest review of the product and a detailed quote and let us decide. The installation was incredible we have french windows and he was able to complete all westward facing windows in our home in two days. (While putting up with our kids and dogs in the house). The product is great, we have noticed a huge difference in our home, the temperature upstairs now stays consistent around 74-75 degrees where before it was around 80.Collin/CoolVu in my opinion is what modern companies should strive to be.

Tanner was incredibly responsive when we called for a bid on our custom window film project. He did a great job at doing his work while we were still running business as usual and he kept a clean work area while he completed the job. Since our project needed a product that was a little thicker than usual window film, there were a few spots that didn't turn out initially but as soon as I mentioned it to Tanner, he acknowledged it, came up with a few different solutions, and returned within a few weeks while between jobs to make it better. What an amazing transformation! Afternoon sun heated up our west side and coming through the front door was unbearably hot. The new tint not only took care of that, the color matched our homes trim. We added a privacy film to our living room windows and have been loving the result. They leave enough light in the room itself and reflect the light outside to give us that privacy we wanted. What a difference! Our new home is bright and sunny, which we love. But we also knew that the desert sun was sure to add to our air conditioning costs not to mention fade furniture - CoolVu provided such a great solution. I have dreaded summer time at work. My desk sits in a corner with east facing windows and a large amount of laboratory instrumentation. The AC was struggling due to the sun blaring into the room. Would highly recommend! Jonathan and Michael did a fantastic job -- and clearly Michael has a lot of experience. We have a 1940's home with metal single pane windows, and previously installed window film that was likely decades old -- scratched and unsightly, and probably provided very little solar or heat protection. The new High Definition film has a 99% UV block, along with significant heat reflection -- and it looks just beautiful. Even though our windows are over 80 years old, they almost look brand new! I look forward to doing a few more windows soon.

They were very prompt at getting us a bid, ordering, and install. They were great about listening to what we wanted and not pressuring us for an up sale. The instal was quick and he did a great job! It has only been a week but it instantly cooled our house off a few degrees. We were wanting the tint so people couldn’t see into our house and in the right conditions it does exactly what they said it would. We are very happy with our decision.
Highly recommend CoolVuWe had a sunroom that was baking during the afternoon hours and adding proper film to the windows has reduced the temperature significantly. Overall customer service was top notch. They came back multiple times to test the best films for the issue at hand. Ultimately we went with a clear film that did the job but didn’t change the look of the room. Pic below is after install. Virtually no difference in the natural lighting in the room. I wanted to tint my windows because my home is positioned in a way which the sun always beats down on the house. I do love the sunlight but sometimes it does tend to get hot but with the tint it helps it stay a little cooler!
This is the 2nd time we have used Tanner at CoolVu for tinting of windows. Both times had great experiences. The tinting helps cut down the sun rays from coming in but still allows us to see out. We contacted Cool Vu to quote and install UV/heat blocking film to all 7 of our upstairs south-facing windows. Andrew was knowledgeable, quiet as a mouse and so thorough. We recently used CoolVu of Minneapolis Northwest for a couple projects on our home windows. First, we had the windows around the front door frosted to give privacy and stop our dog from barking at everyone going by. Then, we had all of our other windows tinted to block the heat. We couldn't believe how fast we could truly tell a difference. It will be an added bonus that it will also protect our furniture and floors from sun fading. The installer picked up a corner of our rug and it sadly showed that our floors have already started to fade. Speaking of the installer, he was very knowledgeable with product information, very detailed during instal and all around professional. He didn't rush us on our decision and really helped point us to the right films that best achieved what we wanted. We compared to all other companies in the area and CoolVu's films were the most affordable but quality was still just as high, if not higher. This is an investment to our home that we should have made a long time ago but we are so happy we have now! They made this whole process so easy and we couldn't be more satisfied! I met Nissa at the SLC Home Show and was able to set up an appointment for the upcoming week. She was able to show us samples on the windows so we could compare what would be best for our particular lighting needs. A couple of weeks later she and one of her employees installed our selection and the windows look great. It has been rainy most of the days since they did the installation so we can't really say too much about the film itself, but their customer service was definitely a five star experience.
This one window faces west and radiates so much heat. It was hard to be near the window during the summer. After the tinting, it is so much cooler. Jon was efficient and pleasant when it came to doing the job. Will absolutely use him again.

Nelly was able to come in for a consult same day (she is amazing!) and was patient with me as I reviewed the samples. She was also able to book the install within the same week! The price came in below my other quote from another company. The install staff were nice, hard working, and detailed during the install. The last tenant left horrible black sheeting all over the windows and the team removed it (it looked difficult and I definitely didn’t want to do it myself). I have a national account and we needed expert local assistance with one of their properties. Glare and Heat was and issue. Luke with CoolVu installed a nice medium film. This toned down the glare and greatly reduced the heat. The glass makes the retail floor look warm and inviting. You can still see through the windows from the outside which my client likes. Sometimes a dark and shiny film does the job but CoolVu's Dual Reflective 25&35% did the best job. Client was happy, I was happy and we left the project with a good feeling. CoolVu Ogden helped us solve a privacy issue with the three large ground-level windows facing our back yard. They discussed several options with us and we decided to use a black film with tiny perforations. This lets us see out well during daylight but helps keep backyard guests from seeing inside at night.Jess and Andrea were very knowledgeable, prompt, they communicated well with us, their pricing was very reasonable and the installation was fantastic. Love living on the water, but boy the glare can be brutal. A neighbor had recommended CoolVu window film they had installed in their home, so I called and made an appointment. They had a very consultative approach for making sure we were getting the right film for our windows based on our needs to reduce UV exposure as we have older windows that don’t have any uv protection. As more and more windows were completed we were able to notice a cooling of what is a East/West facing home. Now that all the windows are done you can notice the difference in temperature. The duo, Kacey and Lucas, of this CoolVu operation are both exceptional in knowledge, communication and work quality. Without much knowledge on my end and many questions to feel confident in the products, Kacey answered all of my many inquiries particularly with which of the various films were best applicable for my use. Marcus knows his application process without exception. I learned he has family history many years back that were in the window tint business as well as he has been applying films for a variety of applications for several years. There is no indication my windows have film applied, as in bubbles or lifting, etc, and Marcus completed several windows. The product I chose was the Signature Clear and it is an appealing medium tint and clearly reduced the outdoor glare. I would not hesitate to recommend this CoolVu operation and also appreciate the very accommodating warranties.

We tried installing some frosted film on the door for privacy in our new home, only to realize the windows already had a tinted film on them so ours wouldn't lay flat and we couldn't get the bubbles out.Phil from CoolVu did an awesome job removing our attempt, the previous owners tinted layer and installing a new matte white layer that looks great. He did a great job of explaining the intricacies of the job and various options during the quote and did well to work around some of the unknowns after he got into it. Definitely recommend!

I had CoolVu out to my home in Delafield and all i can say is WOW! From Bid to job completion it was a pleasure to deal with CoolVu. I was having heat issues because I have so many windows on my home. They helped me understand all the products and which ones would benefit me the most. I went with two different films for my home. First I went with a completely clear film that reduces insane amounts of heat, but allows me to keep my gorgeous views. The second film, which I put on almost the entirety of the house was a transitional film. Yes, just as you would think glasses/sunglasses, this film does that to the windows in your home. It's been a month and I wanted to see how well the film did on reducing my energy bill.... This past 30 days have been some very warm days.... yep, my energy bill was lower than the previous month! Not just by a few dollars, it was down over $250!!! It is already paying for itself. Thank you to CoolVu and their installers, they did a phenomenal job!!!

Have had a problem with sunlight coming through East facing windows since our HOA removed trees behind our house. Sent a request for quotation to CoolVu and were contacted next day for an appointment. Josh came to our house a few days later with tint film samples, explained our options and made recommendations. He confirmed our measurements & told us what our cost would be based on our choices. The final quotation was confirmed in writing. Price was competitive compared to other options so we decided to use CoolVu. Installation was easy to schedule. The 2 man team came out early one morning and completed 22 windows in one day. They were very competent and able to answer any of our questions. All their equipment was 1st class. Overall, our experience was excellent. Would recommend Cool-Vu for any window tinting needs.

I called Cool Vu and spoke with Josh on a Monday to install tinting on 3 windows and a double door at our store. They came out the next day on Tuesday and provided the estimate and by the end of that day we scheduled the work to be done the next day! Very responsive company. When they arrived to do the work it was on-time and very professional. They did a GREAT job and we are extremely pleased with them.One other note: The Technician who did the work had to re-do one window panel because there was a small rip in the vinyl, which he re-did completely on his own without us having to point it out. That shows care in doing your job!!
